i thought it was refreshing to see celebrities poking fun at themselves and not acting like “divas.” Through this commercial, i think snickers was trying to reach broader audiences by putting old and new together.

J.D Salinger, a wonderful and inspiring writer died this wednesday on January 27th, 2010. He was best known for novels like “Catcher in the Rye” and “Franny and Zooey.” Rumor has it that there are still unpublished manuscripts in his house where he died but sources arent sure if they will ever be released.

I find the theory of complete destruction of the earth on December 21, 2010 to be rediculous. The theory has been around for a while and now they want to milk the idea for as much money as possible. By making a movie out of it, they are obviously trying to tap into peoples fear. Like the hype created by Y2K, 2012 will probably end up the same: everyone freaks out for no reason and then moves on with their lives.

Despite Hiedi’s previous surgeries in 2007, including a nose job and breast implants, she decided to go for more: ten more that is, and in one day. Only being 23, she survived the 10 oparations and now looks like a middle aged woman trying to look young. I think she has set a bad example for many young people by showing that using plastic surgery to mask insecurities is okay.

For some reason, the History channel thinks that we care about the lives of pawn store owners. Supposedly, from the show you can learn how to spot a fake $100 bill and a fake diamond. I thought that Reality TV couldn’t get any more pointless after Keeping up with the Kardashians, which should be renamed to “Keeping up with normal people who shouldn’t be famous”. What will they come up with next?
